Corona Vaccination Speeds Up In Country, Record 3 Million Vaccine Doses Given In One Day!

So far, a total of 3.29 crore doses have been given to the beneficiaries across the country. 10 million people over 60 years of age are vaccinated. The ministry also said that corona cases are on the rise in Maharashtra Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu.


New Delhi More than 30 lakh doses was given to the beneficiaries on the 59th day of the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus. The Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday that this is the highest dose of vaccine in a day. According to the ministry, on March 15, more than 30 lakh doses of corona vaccine have been given in the country. With this, the total figure of corona vaccination has increased to 3 crores 29 lakh 47 thousand 432. The ministry said that vaccination of beneficiaries aged over 60 has crossed 1 crore within 15 days.


Out of 30 lakh, 39 thousand 394 doses applied on 15 March, 26,27,099 people were given the first dose of vaccine, including Health Worker (HCW) and Front Front Worker (FLW). Of these, 4,12,295 people were also given the second dose of the vaccine. The ministry said in a statement, "India has crossed a major milestone in the nationwide vaccination campaign that began on 16 January. More than 3 million (30,39,394) doses of the vaccine were given in 42,919 sessions on the 59th day of the vaccination campaign (15 March).

The statement said that this is the highest number of vaccine doses given in a day. According to a report of the Ministry, so far more than 3.29 crore (3,29,47,432) doses of vaccines have been given through 5,55,984 sessions. The statement further said, 'These include 44,58,616 HCW (first dose), 74,74,40 HCW (second dose), 74,74,406 FLW (first dose) and 14,09,332 FLW (second dose), suffering from other diseases. Includes 18,88,727 people over the age of 45, and 1,02,69,368 people over the age of 60 who have been given the first dose.
