The Supreme Court of Pakistan has strongly attacked the Imran government. The court has said that the government is unable to run the country. Not even calling the meeting of the center-state powers for not declaring the census, proves the government's disqualification.
Islamabad, ANI. The Supreme Court of Pakistan has strongly attacked the Imran government. The court has said that the government is unable to run the country. Not declaring the census, and not even meeting the center-state powers, proves the government's ineptitude. The Supreme Court made this remark during the ongoing hearing in connection with the local bodies case. The matter is being heard by a two-member bench, including Justice Qazi Faiz Isha.
The court said that census is the basic requirement for running any country. Is it not in the government's priority to declare the result of the census? In such a situation, there are only two things, the government is unable to run the country or it does not have the ability to make decisions.
The Supreme Court said that the Council of Common Interest (CCI) meeting has not been called for two months. Why its report is being kept secret. CCI determines the powers of the federal and state governments in Pakistan and it should meet every month. The court also expressed displeasure over the ordinance issued in relation to the local body of the Punjab government. The Punjab government does not want to conduct local body elections and at the request of one person, the entire Legislative Assembly was sidelined.
